Safety

The fact is, construction is among the most dangerous industries.  Sound safety practices are critical.

What does that mean?

Generally, it means that Comar Castle prioritizes safety—that safety is fundamental to our culture.

Specifically, it means

People are trained for the job they do.

Equipment is properly maintained and retired.

Sites are clean and organized to minimize distractions.

Regular safety meetings are conducted with site personnel to discuss safe practices and job particulars.

Hazardous materials are handled properly.

Materials Safety & Data Sheets (MSDS) are readily available.

Personal protective equipment is required to be used per OSHA rules.

Safety is part of the agenda for every subcontractor meeting when construction is underway.

Every employee—not just project managers and superintendents—is expected to look for and report unsafe conditions.
